Generic Animal

Thursday, November 14 – 11:00 PM Borgo Santa Brigida, Parma

Luca Galizia was born in Varese in 1995.
A multi-instrumentalist, he draws, writes songs on guitar and GarageBand.
He comes from a hardcore and emo background, as shown by his previous project Leute. The pseudonym Generic Animal comes from a drawing he made a few years ago of an animal without gender or species.
His solo debut came in 2017, and The Donkey Song, released on 25 October, is his fifth album.
Co-produced with Yakamoto Kotzuga, a Venetian producer and sound designer, and featuring Marta Del Grandi on the track ‘Kara Oke’, the album is a stream of consciousness in which epic and dystopian merge.
Autobiographical lyrics that, despite the light-hearted and at times awkward tone, highlight reflections.
Powerful sounds, hysterical R&B-poisoned rock, Italian singer-songwriting contaminated by nervous guitars, unhinged vocals and out-of-tune pianos.
