Zsela Thompson, known simply as Zsela, is an American singer-songwriter.

She made her debut in 2020 with a self-produced EP, “Ache of Victory”, praised by the New York Times as “emotional yet elusive, slow but dynamic, earthly and otherworldly.”

Her official debut is marked in 2024 with “Big For You”, a raw and vulnerable album, though in the best sense of both words. Produced by Frank Ocean and Gabe Wax of The War on Drugs, it alternates between explosive grandeur and mellifluous intimacy.

From the very first note, Zsela creates an introspective soundscape, with lyrics that wrap around the listener. It’s a dual and complementary album.

She boasts collaborations with Marc Ribot, Nick Hakim, and Casey MQ.
