Carla Indipendente, born Carla Capogna, is an illustrator from Puglia, class of ’83.After graduating from the Art Institute of Corato (BA), she continued her self-taught pictorial research and, after attending various workshops on the language of the illustrated book and storytelling through images, she landed in the world of illustration. He collaborates with Italian and international magazines such as Style del Corriere della Sera, Marie Claire America and Milk X, exhibited at group exhibitions, contributed to independent publishing projects, including: Effe-periodical of other narratives, Nurant, designed book covers for the publishing houses Giazira and Cliquot, records and film festival posters, teaches illustration at the private school Grafite in Bari. She loves to develop personal projects in which she combines Illustrations and written thoughts, following an authorial line in which she feels free to express and draw without filters or censorship. She currently works as a freelancer in her city, Andria (BT).
