TINARIWEN

September 17
Teatro Romolo Valli, Reggio Emilia

After last year’s success with the sold-out Calexico concert, this edition of the Barezzi Festival makes a stop in Reggio Emilia.

Malian singers of rebellion, Tinariwen are a pioneering group deeply rooted in tradition.

Each of their albums is a mission aimed at reshaping African and global geopolitics through their desert-blues sound, which has achieved success all over the world.

Galloping riffs, a magnetic rhythm, and lyrics focused on the self-determination of peoples. They have garnered praise and collaborations with artists such as Peter Gabriel, Warren Ellis, Mark Lanegan, and Bob Dylan.

“Amatssou” is their latest album (2023 – Wedge Records).
