ANNA B SAVAGE
Thursday, November 14 – Parma
6:00 PM – Auditorium del Carmine
If music comes from the soul, this is especially true in the case of Anna B Savage.
The daughter of two opera singers, she released her first EP in 2015. Though it featured only a few tracks, they spoke with disarming honesty about the author’s own insecurities and anxieties.
Anna B quickly caught the attention of Father John Misty, who invited her to open for his live shows.
Thus began a career, though one marred by a toxic relationship and mental health issues.
We almost never got to hear the two albums that this hypersensitive artist has created.
Fortunately, music returned to her life after an absence, and it became her own cure.
In her lyrics, Anna speaks about all of this, baring her soul without fear or shame.
Her voice, her dark heart, electronic beats, and acoustic guitar are a gift, and her live performances are pure magic.
